At the heart of his busy schedule James is Music Director for Chantage, (winners of the Malta International Choral Competition 2015 and the BBC Radio 3 Choir of the Year 2006) and the Chandos Chamber Choir. He is a choral conductor for the Royal College of Music Junior Department and also directs 4Tunes, the award-winning staff choir at Channel 4 Television.
James is a tutor for the Association of British Choral Conductors and the Association of Irish Choirs, offering guidance to conductors all over the UK.
Georgina Sherriff moved to London in 2010 to study the organ at the Royal College of Music from where she graduated with a BMus in 2014 (winning the Harold Darke Prize) and an MMus in 2016 (winning the Walford Davies Prize). In 2015 she gained the Associate of the Royal College of Organists (ARCO) Diploma. Georgina is currently the Sub-Organist at Christ
Church, Chelsea as well as being a peripatetic
piano teacher at Parkgate House School,
Clapham, and an A-level music teacher at
Croydon High School for Girls. Georgina is also
a keen cyclist and recently, with her brother,
cycled from Land’s End to London raising £3000
for various charities.
James Davey is one of the UK’s most distinguished and respected choral directors, in demand for his work as a conductor, choir trainer, adjudicator and fixer. Formerly the chief choral advisor for the BBC’s sheet music archive, James has delivered projects for the BBC Singers Education Department and regularly conducts and prepares choirs for broadcasts on TV and radio as well as providing professional ensembles to the entertainment and advertising industries.
