Alberto Roque studied at the Artistic and Musical Society of Pousos (SAMP) in Portugal followed by the National Superior Academy for Orchestra in Lisbon.  In 1998 he won first prize in the International Contest of the Oriental Foundation for Young Conductors and in 2001 achieved his “Perfeccionement” in orchestral conducting at the Conservatoire Jean-Philippe Rameau in Dijon, France. Since 2004 he has taught at the Lisbon College of Music where he conducts the Wind Ensemble, the Chamber Winds Camerata de Sopros Silva Dionisio (with which he recorded his first

CD New Harmoniemusik) and directs the Wind Conducting class. Alberto is also the Director and Principal Conductor of the chamber orchestra Arts Lusitanae and is a guest conductor with many of the orchestras in Portugal and Spain and IIsrael. Alberto was a board member of WASBE sitting on the planning  committee for the conferences in Taiwan and Utrecht, and in 2015  he gave conducting masterclasses at the WASBE conference in S. José in California. He is a founding member of the saxophone quartet Saxofinia.

Bjørn Sagstad undertook his formal training at the Royal Northern College of Music, the Grieg Academy of Music in Norway and the University of Tromsø and Trondheim/NTNU. He has worked with all the professional military ensembles in Scandinavia and the Royal Marine Band in Holland as well as the major symphony orchestras in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Hong Kong and in the USA.  His repertoire is extensive and includes orchestral, choral, opera and ballet as well as specialising in contemporary music. He has made several recordings and been responsible for the premieres of a large number of new works. Bjørn is currently directing a five year mentoring programme for young women conductors sponsored by Dextra Musica and the Norwegian Band Federation. He has also been

appointed teacher of conducting at the University of Bergen, the Grieg Academy of Music. Bjørn holds artistic director and chief conductor posts of several orchestras and ensembles including the Prinsen Brass (Denmark), the Kristiansund Symphony Orchestra and Opera, The Royal Norwegian Navy Band, and the Kristiansund Wind Ensemble.
